Hiatus Warning

Time for a small hiatus! The photo editing website I always use keeps not working and then randomly crashing my computer...
So then I searched around for other free editing sites but I haven't found a good one yet.  Until I can edit and watermark my pictures I'm gonna take a short break :) Sorry! But I'll be back soon and with more cool manicures <3

Halloween Begins! ...sorta

5 days since my last post!! I apologize! I've been insanely busy and I just haven't had time to upload my pictures and edit them and write a post....ugh. But I'm back now :) With a semi-Halloween manicure.  It's not spooky or scary at all, in fact, I was kinda going for fall colors when I did it, not Halloween colors :)

Needless to say, I was never able to draw trees very well...

To do the gradient, I used China Glaze Hey Sailor, Sally Hansen Sun Kissed, and Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow.  I put a stripe of each of the polishes on a makeup sponge and then sponged it up and down slightly on a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

Well that's all! I'll try super hard to keep posting ;)

Gotye? Is that you?

So, in a moment of pure genius, I googled "pattern" to decide what to do on my nails :)  This is what I came up with:

So I pulled out some pinks and whites and oranges and did this:

(Due to using about a quarter of my nail polish collection for this look, I am not going to say every single color I used :)

Then my friend goes, "Ohmygosh it looks like Gotye!"
Such as:

And that is the story of my nail art.

I did this using a medium-length striper brush and an hour and a half.  It was brutal, and there were moments where I doubted my ability, but I pulled through in the end :)

Lacy Henna Manicure

Best. Manicure. Ever.  I love it so much I decided to enter it in NailedIt's 2-bottle contest! :)
This is actually my second attempt at this; the first attempt turned out like crap and I was super frustrated.  But now I'm happy with this one :)  Without further ado: pictures!!

I used my new striping brushes, a small dotting tool, OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons, and Wet N Wild Black Creme.

That's all!  I'm off to go protect these and not take them off for a year.

Inspired By My Closet :)

To see awesome yet suckish nail art keep looking!

Hahaha so I have this awesome dress that I wear all the time because it's that cool.  And so I thought, why not do nails to match?
I started out with a base of Essence Nude It! on all my nails, and then painted Essie Camera on all but one (the ring finger).  For the ring finger, I used Orly Glowstick.  I also used Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the cherries.

The cherries represent the pattern on my dress, and the yellow stripe represents my belt :)  I should've done a combat-boot-nail to match my shoes...

The belt!

And the dress :)

I don't have any pictures of the full outfit (well I do but they're all from a photoshoot...awwwkward) but trust me, it's awesome :D

Enchanted Polish "Secret Sauce"

Mark the calenders - this is my first indie polish!  Haha after seeing this polish by Enchanted Polish on morenailpolish.com, I had to have it :)
This is just one coat of Wet N Wild Black Creme, and one coat of Enchanted Polish Secret Sauce.  It's an amazing color shifting...I don't know just look at the pictures! :D

From red....

To copper-ish....

TO GREEN!

That's my bathroom sink in the background...the bathroom had the best light ;D

I highly recommend this awesome polish!  I feel like if you layered it over a blueish-purple, it would look a little like Clarins 230 :)

United States Marine Corps

Let the nail art begin!  I got my nail art brushes in the mail a few days ago, and I am in love.  They are the best things ever and they make nail art so easy!  Sooo I had to celebrate with some Marine Corps nails :)

Wet N Wild Black Creme for the base, Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the shading, and China Glaze Hey Sailor for the letters

Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow for the Eagle Globe Anchor (Marine symbol)

Ta da! I'm off to go do some more epic-ness with my brushes! :D
